Being a Konica Minolta dealer, CSL supports Konica Minolta’s ‘World on Loan’ policy and ‘Clean Planet’ programmes, designed to help you meet and exceed your recycling and environmental targets..

To ensure effective use of resources, Konica Minolta takes into account the concept of "Reduce, Re-use and Recycle" from the development and design stage of products through to collecting products at the end of their use and recycling them in compliance with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE Directive).

What is WEEE?

The WEEE Directive 2002/96/EC on waste electrical and electronic equipment imposes responsibility for the disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment on the manufacturers.

Together with the RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC, restricting the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment, the WEEE Directive became European Law in February 2003, and took effect in the UK from 1st July 2007.

From this date, manufacturers have been required to establish an infrastructure for collecting WEEE and to use the collected waste in an ecologically friendly manner when it has reached the end of its life and would otherwise be discarded as waste.
